A Little About Us

Well, I feel like this is becoming somewhat of a baby blog. Sorry. That's just pretty much all the exciting news we've been having lately! Not much is going on.

Todd started back to school last week for the Summer semester. After this semester we'll have 2 years down! WooHoo! He's taking his first animal science class, chemistry, eternal marriage, and economics. Since the weather's finally starting to get somewhat nice the bike has reemerged. Well, it was really nice last week and now has been raining off and on since Friday. So I've gotten some slack cause I've made him move the bike out to the balcony instead of the back room. I'm told almost every day that it's becoming a rust pile.

I've just been busy with work. They're trying to transition me to start doing all the purchasing. Hopefully by the middle of the summer I'll be mostly doing that instead of the Office Manager position I'm in right now. With still doing all my regular work and taking on the purchasing, work can get a little hectic. It's still not too busy, but it's hard learning new stuff that you're not very knowledgeable in. The only good thing is that since I enter in all the invoices I know where we buy most of the stuff which has helped. But anyway, enough about that. Besides work there's not much else going on with me!

Everett is growing. At least I think he his. We go in on Monday for another checkup. His kicks and punches are becoming stronger. I can now just lay my hand on my stomach when he kicks and feel it. Before I could never feel him when I slept, but now if I wake up, he tends to keep me up a little longer than I want to be. It's usually cause I have to eat something, and he lets me know! I have a feeling I'm starting to get use to his sleeping schedule already. Which might be a good thing in the long run. Who knows!

We had our first barbecue last weekend! All our neighbors got together and we grilled some hamburgers and hot dogs. Took the grill downstairs and ate on the lawn. It was nice, except it decided to get a little chilly. But hopefully that was the start of more barbecues to come this summer! I'm wanting to do some ribs. Yum...I can't wait till it gets warmer!

All Alone

Todd left today to go camping with his brother Troy. So that means I'm all alone. I had all these things planned to do to keep me occupied. Projects and such. But then I realized, you know what I haven't just come home and relaxed in a while. I didn't have to plan a meal, or anything. So I decided to take it easy. It's been nice, but now I kinda wish I stuck with my original plan! When I was gone a couple weeks ago Todd told me it was boring watching TV by himself. Boy is he right. I'm sitting here watching The Biggest Loser talking to myself. Yes, sad I know. I start talking then realize...he's not there. Man I'm glad it's only for two nights. Unless the weather's bad tomorrow, he'll be home! But I know he's having a good time. So as I much as I want him to be home I'd never wish that. All I know is that tomorrow night, there will be things done. Cause seriously sitting on the couch is boring by yourself.

20 Weeks

I'm half way there! I'm hoping the next 20 weeks go as fast as the last. I thought the pregnancy would seem like it's taking forever, but so far it hasn't been too bad. I think keeping busy with things has helped it go by.

I'm finally feeling so much better. Smells still bother me a little, but nothing compared to what I had to go through. Although I can't complain cause I know that there are girls that have pregnancies much worse then mine. I'm just happy that I can eat a bigger variety of foods. Vegetables are gradually making their way back in. I'm able to consume more than eggs without getting sick. I LOVE eggs, but you can only take so much. I think we had breakfast meals quite often, the first couple months, cause i knew I could eat them without getting sick. I don't think I've really had a lot of cravings. I do know that I did crave Doritos for a couple days so I finally gave in, but then wish I hadn't. They didn't settle too well. I always thought the whole pickle thing during pregnancy was just a weird thing, but I will admit you do really like pickles when your pregnant. I've always liked them, but now all I want are a certain kind. MMM... they're sooo juicy and crunchy, but oh so expensive for how fast Todd and I can eat them! We've gotten them a couple times, but I've been trying not to give in too often.

Everett likes to move around. I've been feeling him for about 3 weeks now. The punches and kicks are getting stronger. Sometimes they startle me and I have to stop what I'm doing. But once I put my hand where he usually kicking he stops. Although, yesterday Todd and I went and got ice cream cones, and while I was eating mine he started to kick real hard. So I put my hand on my stomach and swear I actually felt the kick on the outside, but then he stopped. Hopefully soon Todd will be able to feel the kicks cause it's actually kind of neat.

Ultrasound Pictures

We finally were able to upload our pictures. For some reasons they saved them weird and our friend at work had to open them with Photoshop. But once we got them up to our surprise they weren't our pictures! They saved some other persons instead of ours. After a few phone calls we were finally able to get ours though! The nurse told us that our baby wasn't very photogenic, and boy is he not. You could see him pretty well on the screen, but not too much in the pictures. Like I said he wouldn't turn his head so we didn't get a real good face shot. These are the best ones I thought we got.

There he is in all his glory! (if you make the picture bigger you can see the arrow and how we found out it was a boy!)

The little white dots in the middle are suppose to be his fingers. You can kind of see his head and eyes to the right of the picture.

This is the best picture we have of his face.

As most have probably noticed we are naming our little boy Everett Tuckett Wilson. Todd and I have had a hard time agreeing on boy names and Everett was the first one that we both really liked. In the Wilson family they have a tradition to have the Wilson boys name their first sons middle name after thier mother's maiden name. That's how we came up with Everett Tuckett. We are excited and can't wait to finally be able to meet him. Only a few more months. Or as my dad keeps telling me not a few but 4 or 5!

It's a.......

BOY!!

We're having a boy! Pretty exciting! At first the lady just believed it was a boy. Then she went to a different angle and goes "Definitely a boy." Todd was pretty excited when he heard that. He gave a little fist pump in excitment. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to upload the pictures from the cd, so hopefully I can figure that out so I can post pictures. I just hope we didn't get a crummy cd. We still have the printed ones, but they're not as good to see once you scan them in. We'll keep working on it. The doctor said everything looks good. He's in the 77th percentile. Now I know why I've been feeling him so much though. He would not stop moving. The ultrasound tech kept trying to get a good angle of his face, but he didn't want to show it. That's the one thing he wouldn't move. I guess he's already being stubborn. Well atleast we can now call him by name no more "it".

What are we going to have?!

We find out tomorrow what we're having! We're pretty excited and anxious. I wish we had an early morning appointment, but with work and school we have to wait till the afternoon. Anyway, if you haven't voted you have a little time left. So far girl is the the lead. I honestly have no clue what so ever. For awhile I thought it was a boy, but I don't know. Hopefully the baby cooperates tomorrow so we'll know for sure!
