This weekend we were able to go to my parents and celebrate Easter. We left Friday and everything just slowed down tonight. We had so much fun. Friday night Everett was able to go on a sleep over with his cousins. I honestly was expecting a call. I didn't think he would make it, but he did. Slept all night. Went to bed on his own and everything.
Saturday the festivities began. We colored eggs and had a little Easter Egg Hunt in Grammy and Grandpa's yard. The kids of course had a blast! Everett was a pro with coloring eggs. Jacquelyn on the other hand....She did pretty good. Better then I thought she would. She would just dunk them and go onto the next.
Everett has become quite the pro with the Easter Egg Hunts. Jacquelyn just likes looking and opening the eggs and then eating the treats. Luckily she had some help to keep her moving.
Today we were able to go to church with my sister and her family. While we were getting ready the kids were able to go and see what the Easter Bunny left. Luckily it was mostly stickers and a water bottle after all the candy they got yesterday! Afterwards we headed over to Spencer and Jordan's for a little Easter Lunch. We had such a nice weekend. It might have been exhausting but it was worth it being able to spend it with family.

Chalk
We went on a walk last week and Everett found a little hopscotch drawing. Since then that has been all he has been wanting to do. This weekend Todd took them to our complexes Easter Egg Hunt and low and behold he got chalk! So once the rain stopped and it got a little warmer we want out and had some fun!
Becoming Official
We are slowly transitioning to becoming Texans. Our van is officially registered as a Texas vehicle. We took off our Idaho plates and they were replaced with ones which Todd thinks are pretty boring. Slowly but surely we will all become "official".

Perot Museum
This week we've had the opportunity to go out to Coppell and spend time with family. It was my sister's kids' spring break and I think we needed a little excitement. It gets a little mundane around our place with no friends and no places I really know where to go. So we went out to have a little fun!
Today we were able to go to The Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Everett was so excited. He kept talking about going to the museum like George. We've been watching The Curious George Movie lately. We started the day by meeting my sister at the train station. Another exciting event for Everett!
Jacquelyn was not nearly excited about the train as everett was!
Once off the train we took about a 1/2 mile walk to the museum. We were able to enjoy the scenery of Downtown Dallas.
The entire time we were in the museum Everett was so enthralled. He wanted to touch everything, see everything, try to lift everything. He loved it. He followed right behind his cousins with everything they did.
Jacquelyn was enjoying most of our trip until she got super tired. I thought she might make it but she just couldn't handle it. She spent half of our visit sitting in the stroller. There were a few times I thought she'd actually fall asleep, but she is a stubborn little girl and of course that was not going to happen.
Baden waited in line to build a car and then got to put it to the test. The kiddos all thought that was pretty cool.
Our very last exhibit was the dinosaurs. Everett was once again captivated. I was trying to get a picture with him and the bones, but this was the best I got. If I hadn't yelled at the right time he probably would have actually hopped the fence.
We ended our little excursion with another long walk to the train station. We all had such a great time. I almost thought Jacquelyn wouldn't even sleep in the car. She got a whole new wind. But within 2 minutes of putting the car in drive but kids were passed out!
