Sunday Morning Activities

We don't have church till 1:00pm on Sundays.  It is tough. I try to find things to do with Everett, but sometimes I just run out of ideas, or we go through them quickly cause his attention span is very short!  Yesterday we were getting restless so I got online to try to find something to bake with him.  He'll stay pretty entertained with that.  Unfortunately I really had nothing to make stuff with.  Most things I found I was missing one thing. Bummer.  Until I find Frozen Dipped Bananas. Why not?!
So we cut our bananas and then went to town on dipping them. Everett didn't really understand what we were doing at first.  All he wanted to do with eat the bananas.  But once he figured it out he was having fun.  Then came the sprinkles.  When I got these out he got so excited.  He kept calling them Happy Birthday Sprinkles.
He probably could have put the whole bottle on them.  After dipping and sprinkling we put them in the freezer to have after dinner.  Once we ate we brought them out to enjoy our hard work.
I would have to say he enjoyed them. He ate three! They were pretty tasty.

On Saturday I was trying to get some laundry and what not done.  So I was finding things for Everett to do to keep him entertained.  One thing he likes is coloring.  We got everything out and he went to town while I went to work.  He had been coloring for awhile when I looked over at him in shock.
He had marked on his forehead and had completely colored up his arm.  He's never purposely marked all over himself like that.  I said his name and he just smiled!  Luckily they were washable markers and it all came right off.

Naptime Companions

While we were in Dallas my nephews gave Everett some of their cars.  He was so excited! The minute we got to my parents house he was playing with them.  Since we've been home it's the first thing he gets out when he wakes up, when he gets home, and before bed.  They are out all....the....time.

When he went down for his quiet time today he was able to take the cars in with him. Shortly after going in I didn't hear much noise so I decided to go check on him.  He was passed out, but he was not alone.
I saw Mack had joined him, but when I looked even closer...
There was another car.  He calls the little green one "bad guy".  Why? I don't know.  I don't think he's a bad guy on Cars, but I have no clue.  Anyway, when he woke up he came out of his room with this look and goes "Mack in bed with me" and he just smiled.  "look mom Mack in bed".  So we had to go look at Mack in his bed with him.  It was pretty cute.

Dora and Diego

This weekend they had an East Idaho Kids Fair here in town.  We had heard about it a few times on the radio, but it wasn't until they mentioned Dora and Diego were going to be there that it really caught my attention.  We knew we had to take Everett!  He use to be obsessed with Dora. Seriously it was all he watched.  Luckily he has started venturing out a little.  Diego has become more and more of a favorite over Dora.  After some last minute changes to our plans we decided to go and take the kids.

The location was just down in Idaho Falls in an old grocery store.  So being all in doors was nice except that there were a ton of people which made it extremely loud.  They had vendors that had little activities that geared more towards kids.  Everett had fun being able to go and through bean bags to win prizes, or spin wheels.  They had some jump houses and a mini mechanical bull, but seeing the length of the line we decided it wasn't worth it.  With our luck we would get there and he wouldn't want to do it anyway!

After walking around for a bit we finally saw were Dora and Diego were.  Then we saw the line.  So Todd told me to keep taking Everett around and him and Jacquelyn would wait in line.  So off we went. We walked around a little and visited a few more places.  Everett's favorite spot was the fire truck.  We had stopped by with Todd and he got in, but he had a ballon on his wrist and wanted it off.  I think the fireman thought he was done so he just got him done. Remember it was extrememly loud and Everett does not speak very loudly to begin with.  So when I went back with him I could tell he wanted to go again. So this time I took the ballon off and the fireman helped him back up.  It was priceless to watch.  He got the biggest grin!! He started playing with the wheel and looking around and sadly his turn was up.  He loved it.

Then it was time to check on Todd again. He had made improvement, but we still had awhile.  So off we went again.  Everett was getting tired and a little restless we headed to the food court and got a drink and some ice cream to share.  When we got back we just hung out with Todd cause it looked like we had gotten pretty close.  But we were tricked.  It looked like it was going straight to where Dora was, but then it looped! In the end we waited for about an hour.  As we were getting closer Everett was getting so excited with a big smile on his face, but the minute we sat him on Diego's lap it went away.  Jacquelyn was just lookin around wondering what was going on.
We're still glad we went.  The kids had a good time and it was a fun little trip just to see Dora and Diego.

10 Months

This little girl is 10 months old! She is quite the little girl and is continuing to grow and grow!  She has her own little personality and is quite demanding! Well, just more so then her brother was.  We were pretty spoiled with him.  She is a momma's girl, she LOVES to be held, but she also loves to crawling and moving around.  She is always on the go.  I have to really watch her in the bath cause she is constantly rolling over, but she'll just get her face right back up and continue playing.  My heart usually stops for a sec but she acts like nothing happened!  She is now 27" long and 18lbs.  Here are some things she's done over the past two months:

She has started waving hi and goodbye.
She gives kisses.  They are some of the best! She is a lover and will always come give you loves.
She loves her food.  She has started to move more and more away from baby food and more onto real solids.  She will pretty much eat just about anything.
She loves ice cream! She tried it once at my Aunt and Uncles and started crying when it was all gone!
We've been trying to introduce her to the sippy cup.  She doesn't mind drinking water or juice, but not her milk. That can only come from her bottle :)
She is wearing a variety of sizes.  It just depends on the brand, but the majority of her clothes are 6-9 months and some 12 month.
She has been sleeping pretty good at night.  Since have to have her cry it out she has slept sooo much better.  Her naps vary from day to day, but are mostly around an hour twice a day.
She still loves bathtime and it will always make her happy!
She is starting to play more with Everett, but you can tell she likes when he's sleeping and she has her alone time.

We have loved the last 10 months with her.  She continues to amaze us and continues to bring smiles to our faces.

Easter Craft Take 2

We got in another Easter craft.  I still haven't been able to do everything I wanted to, but at least we did something.  Everett made a cute Easter egg out of marshmallows.  I had quite a bit of fun with it. His favorite part was probably being able to eat the marshmallows and then the gluing.  He LOVES gluing this right now.  Most of the gluing we've done has been just sticking paper to paper.  So i was surprised at how well he did with lining the marshmallows on the glue nicely.
