My mom can do this clicking thing with her tongue. She was doing it to Everett the other day to try to get him to smile. She not only got him to smile, but she got him to laugh and talk to her. It was so cute. So she told me I had to keep clicking my tongue so he'd remember his grammy.
This morning I was trying to do it, not as well as my mother, and get a video for her. He did it! I got a little video of him and some pictures. I love it! He's getting so big!
I love his face in the beginning. Grammy, he still remembers your clicking:)

1 Month Old
Everett is 1 month old! I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast. I was looking at his pictures from when he first came home and he's grown so much! I feel like he's gotten so big. My parents even talked about how he grew in the week they were here.
He's such a good baby and is constantly making us laugh. He makes the funniest faces that we can't get enough of. We are slowly learning his wants and needs and I'm sure we will continue to as he grows. Heavenly Father has blessed us with such a sweet spirit. He's brought so much joy to our home already. He loves to cuddle and we're trying to take advantage of that while we can.
This past month Everett has been all over the place. He's been able to meet his Grandma and Grandpa Wilson, Grammy and Grandpa Tuckett, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Tara, Uncle Troy, his cousin Lincoln, and more extended family. He has been getting tons of love!
Here are the many faces of Everett that we love. He makes the funniest little O shape with his mouth that always makes us laugh. We've even learned what comes with each face he makes.

The first time Everett pulled his hair we thought it was pretty funny and probably the only time it'd happen. Nope, happens all the time! Well, not all the time, but it has happened quite a few times. He has a death grip on it and will hardly let us pry his fingers open. Is it sad that we let him cry and suffer while we took pictures?!

Everett is a pretty good sleeper, when he's where he wants to be! No he usually sleeps pretty well. He loves laying on his dad, especially when he gets home from work. The fun part is that he makes the most noises of any sleeping baby I've ever met. Half the time we go into his room thinking he's awake, but he's not:)

Grammy & Grandpa's Visit
My parents came up on September 10th and spent a week and a half here visiting us and Everett! We had a blast!! We started their trip with my sister Sarah. She came up on Friday and was able to spend the weekend with us. We went and showed her around Idaho Falls. Pretty much just around the Temple and the Green Belt where the falls are. We would go meet my parents, at their hotel, and have breakfast with them. The rest of the weekend we were able to hang out and show Sarah around a little. It was fun to have her here. I wish she could have stayed longer.
Sarah had to leave on Monday morning. My mom came and picked her up so she could catch her bus. Later that day my parents and I went and walked around Rexburg. I went walking while I was pregnant, but for some reason since I've had Everett I feel sooooo out of shape. My dad was speed walking in front of us. Luckily my mom was nice enough to walk with me:) I think we were out for over 2 hours. It felt like we walked for ever! It sure did wear me and Everett out. He got fed and then we passed out.
Tuesday we went and visited my Great Aunt Dixie down in Pocatello. She is 93 and doesn't even look it! She is all over the place. While down there we were able to go have a little picnic in the park. It was really nice. That night we went to the hot tub. I had been wanting to go the whole time my parents had been there. We had so much fun relaxing in there. Everett was so good and fell asleep hangin out in his car seat.
Wednesday we headed up to Yellowstone. My dad went and showed us his old stomping grounds. He took us to this place called Big Springs Lake. It's so neat. The lake had the clearest water I'd ever seen and the fish were huge!! Todd and my dad were throwing in fish pellet. The fish would just shoot right up out of the water. It entertained us for a while.
Once in Yellowstone we just drove along enjoying the scenery. We saw some bald eagles, bison, and eagle. No bear this time. We were able to enjoy another little picnic. This time we had a bison watchin us. It was on the other side of the lake, but kept walking closer and closer. Once lunch was done we headed up to see Ol' Faithful. My parents bought Everett a moose hat, at the General Store. He looked soo cute in it! Everett did pretty good the whole trip, but on our way out he just kept crying and crying. Todd and I were in the back trying to figure out what to do when my dad mentioned that we should try taking his headrest out just to see. Well, once it was out he was just fine. We couldn't believe it! This whole time he could have enjoyed it a little more if we just didn't have the head rest in there.
Thursday was our relaxing day. Everett and I hung out with my parents while they did their laundry in the morning. Later that night we met up with some family and had a nice little dinner. My Grandpa Tuckett is from St. Anthony, so my dad has some cousins and an Aunt and Unlce up here. It was nice spending time with family we don't really get to see. Then is was back to the hotel for another night in the hot tub!
Friday was our last day with my parents so we had to make the most of it. We started with a trip to G's Dairy to get some ice cream before we headed down to find Cox Honey Farms. On the way down to get some honey we passed an Army Supply Warehouse. We've passed it on the highway, but little did we know it would be at the exit we had to take to get to Shelly. My dad was excited and decided we needed to go in. We spent forever in there! But it was pretty fun. Todd now has a place he wants to go back to. We found Cox's and got my dad some creamed honey to take home. On our way back to Rexburg, we traveled down Old Yellowstone Highway all the way through Idaho Falls. My dad was able to remember the times he use to drive down the old highway. Once we got back we were able to enjoy some of my dad's good old chili! It was delicious! We have plenty left over that we now get to enjoy. For our last night we drove around looking at houses and then went and hung out in the hot tub one last time.
It was hard to say goodbye once again. I thought I'd be able to control myself, but of course I started crying. It's always hard to see my mom go. Hopefully one day we wont be so far apart.
This past week was so much fun. I'm grateful my parents were able to come up and meet their new grandson. He was spoiled! He got some new clothes, toys, and plenty of lovin from his grammy and grandpa. He's going to be a stud. Everett loved being held by his Grandpa and talking with his Grammy. My mom and I were taking pictures of him their last day here. She was talking to him trying to get him to smiling and he'd start talking back. It was so cute! We were able to enjoy my dads famous Hobo Dinner and Chili, many fun drives, and each others company. I'm going to always remember it and can't wait till they can come back! Thanks mom and dad! We love you and miss you tons already!

Everett's Baby Blessing
We were able to bless Everett while all our family was here. We had my parents and sister, and Todd's parents, sister, and brother come up. That weekend we hung out and had a real good time.
The blessing was just perfect. We had it on Saturday September 12th at our stake center, and then we headed over to our parent's hotel for some snacks and to chit chat. Todd did a great job and Everett slept the whole time. Our friends and family, from the area, were able to come and participate. After Todd blessed Everett, the counselor from our bishopric asked me to bare my testimony. I was a little emotional and caught off guard and as usual didn't get to say everything I wanted. So I thought I'd share it here so I wouldn't forget.
Five years ago I would have never pictured myself where I am today. I didn't want to get married, nor did I really want to have kids. At least not as early as I did. I figured I'd get married when I was finished with school and a little more accomplished. I never wanted to go to a church school cause I figured most people went to get married, and that was not what I wanted. So I went to school in Rhode Island. After a year I decided to transfer to a different campus. After much thought and prayer I knew Denver was where I was suppose to go. My first weekend there I met this quite guy at our friend's cabin. Drove him home the next morning then ended up spending many nights hanging out watching Prison Break. Little did I know a few months later I'd fall for him and end up marrying him a year later. I remember when I first started praying about us everything pointed to us getting married, but I was shocked. It wasn't what I had planned, nor thought I ever really truly wanted. But I knew it was what the Lord wanted, and when I did what the Lord wanted it truly became what I wanted too.
A year after getting married we felt it was time to start planning a family. But yet again our plan wasn't exactly Heavenly Father's plan. A few emotional months later we found out we were pregnant and truly excited. I was so excited, and yet again shocked. It was funny how opposite my plan was from Heavenly Father's plan, but I knew that his was the one that made me the most happy.
I have such a strong testimony of the power of prayer. I know that Heavenly Father listens and answers my prayers at the appropriate time. I know he knows me and loves me. I know that his plan is the true and right plan and when I make his will my will everything falls into place and I am truly the happiest.
I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church upon the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a true and living prophet who restored the church in these days. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that through it we can drawer nearer to Christ and truly know Him.
I know that my marriage is an eternal marriage. Not only are Todd and I, and our family, together here on Earth, but we will be for eternity. I know that Everett came when he was suppose to come. That he is here to bless our family and do an amazing work.
I love my family so much. Todd is such an amazing husband and now father. He has been such a blessing in my life. Everett has been in our life for a month and I never knew how much love a parent could have for a child. I'm so grateful for my parents and the love and support they give me in all my decisions. They have helped me to become who I am today. I only hope that I can be a righteous example for our children and that they can be led on the right path.
