6 Months
Everett turned 6 months on Sunday. He's grown so much this past month. I can't believe how fast he picks up on things. We go in on Thursday for his 6 month doctor's appointment, so we'll know more of his stats then. But here are some things he's been doing the past month:
- Started sitting
- Started eating solids. He LOVES his green beans and peas. And he LOVES to watch us eat. Although he's starting to get to the point though where if we're eating he thinks he needs to be too.
- He has become lots more social.
- Loves attention.
- Although he loves attention, he has started to get where he does not like strangers holding him. He screams:) (not strangers strangers, but strangers to him)
- He is constantly all over the place. He's even started rolling onto the tile in our kitchen. Which he found is not quite as soft as the carpet!
- He's able to go from sitting to his stomach. It's taken him some bumps and bruises, but he can now successfully get to his stomach without crashing into the floor.
- I think we've scared him of the bath tub. He went for a toy, but went head first into the water. We caught him, but I'm pretty sure he's a little traumatized. He use to love taking baths, but now he screams.....the whole time.... hopefully he'll find his love for it again. He was just getting to where he could splash and scoot around too.
- He gets so excited when Todd comes home from school. He loves his dad. I can get him to laugh, but Todd really gets him to laugh. It's pretty cute.

Sunday Dress
I have found that I love to dress Everett for Sunday. How could I not when he looks like this:
Seriously I have to say he's the cutest little boy I've ever seen :)

Trouble is on it's Way
I thought I had a few more months until Everett would be getting into things, but I have no time left. When he use to roll he pretty much would just roll back and forth in one spot. Not anymore!! He's all over the place. He's learned how to go from sitting to his stomach and he loves it!
The other day we were playing the Wii and he was sitting next to the couch by us. Well we got a little distracted with the game and the next thing we knew he was on the other side of the room getting into all the dvds. When we got a new TV we just pushed our coffee table up to the wall until we could get a new entertainment center. So the movies are just sitting below it. It can't stay like that to much longer. Almost every day now Everett's ended up playing with the movies.
At work I start him sitting on the blanket, which is a little ways behind my chair. Within a few minutes he is playing underneath my computer, or is rolling over to the filing cabinets. I move things and he just moves closer to them. I have a feeling the fun has just begun!

For The Love Of The Wii
When my parents gave us the Wii I honestly thought it would be more for Todd. He kept telling me I had to play since it was a family gift. Before we left Texas we even went and bought The Biggest Loser game so I would use it. That was pretty much all I did with the Wii until a few weeks ago. Todd went out and bought Super Mario Brothers. All have to say is I've wasted way more time than I should playing it! On this Mario Bros. you can have up to 4 people playing rather then just one like the old Nintendo game. So it started out with just playing with Todd here and there. We got in a few friendly disputes. Todd's competitive and when it comes to video games I tend to like to have fun and just enjoy it. He says he's playing with a spaz when he plays with me cause Luigo is constantly all over the place.
I have now started my own game. When I get home from work, and Todd's not home, I turn it on and play. I'm not nearly as experienced as Todd, but I'm gettin there. Not only have I grown to love the Wii, but so has our son! Todd recently went out and bought a flat screen cause our other one was too small and outdated. Or so I was told. After Todd had set the TV up he decided to play a game of Super Mario Brothers to test it out. When he started Everett had just woken up so I brought him out to living room. He looked at Todd and then looked at the TV. He didn't take his eyes off it for like 10 minutes! I thought it was mostly cause we have a bigger TV, but it's the game. Every time Todd turns the game on Everett's watchin him play! It's pretty cute, but hopefully he's not becoming a game junky at 6 months:)
