Well, Todd and I finally got some furniture in our living room! I'm so excited. We were able to get a couch and love seat set. They're not the prettiest things, but they're nice. Todd said I could get them if they were comfortable and clean. And that they are. He says they're ugly, but whatever. It's hard to find used furniture that you like. You cannot be picky at all. Most of the ones we've seen have been either way old, or just gross. These ones are nice though. Hopefully someday they might be able to have a slip cover, but we'll see. I'm not sure if they'd fit anyway.
I do have to admit that these are a lot better than the couch we had in Denver. I bought it from the thrift store for $25!! I loved it. It was the best looking couch I've seen at a thrift store. My rooommate, and I, went to buy it for $50 and the day we went it, it was half off!! I wanted to keep it for when I had a daughter and she could have it when she was going to college.
I never realized how much I missed having a couch until tonight. The people we bought them from delivered them around 5 and we have been lounging on them all night. It's nice to just lay down and watch a TV show and your rear end doesn't go numb. Camping chairs are nice for camping, but to live in, not so great. They've already made the apartment feel more "homey". At least I think so. Now we can start to find stuff to put on the walls. That's my next goal for the apartment.
(these pictures are from the people's garage. We might have some of them in our apartment later.)
