18 Months

Photobucket

Everett is 18 months old today!! Like I always say time is flying by and he's getting so big. He's becoming such a big boy and has quite the personality. I love seeing him react to things and learn new things. Here are some of the things he up to these days:

Reading. He LOVES to read. He's getting really good at pointing things out in the books.
He can now sign "more", "done", "please", "help", "thank you"
He can say "ball", "baby", "done", "dog", "duck","bath", "mama", "dad", "map", "nap", "backpack", "snack". Granted not all these words are spoken clearly, you can understand what he's saying. He's slowly starting to talk. I think deep down he really knows, but he's just making us wait:) We'll try to get him to say things and he'll just smile at us like we're crazy.
He is a typical boy getting bruises all over his head.
He loves to run and climb.
He is a gamer and can sit and hold the Wii remote forever. He especially likes to have Just Dance on and Indiana Jones.
He LOVES Dora. We usually have to watch it every morning. he's getting to were you can actually understand him saying Dora. But he really loves the Backpack and will start yelling for it. I've tried to get him to watch Diego, cause you know it's more of a boy show, but sadly he doesn't care for it as much!
He is an outdoors kid, but sadly we haven't been able to go out much lately. Every once in a while when the weather's somewhat decent we go out, but I always get yelled out when we have to come back in. Hopefully warmer weather will be here soon!
He is a greater eater. Much better than his mom at least. He loves vegetables especially corn. He loves bananas, but only when he can hold them in their peels.
He now weighs 21 pounds. I can't remember his height and the sheet they gave me has his height from a year old. I will have to go measure him soon:)

This kid never ceases to amaze us. We've been lucky to have him and to be able to see him grow like he has. I enjoy spending every day with him as he learns knew things and catches on. We have our moments where we need our time apart, but once he smiles or laugh it always melts my heart:)

25 Weeks

Photobucket

I was going to update on this pregnancy every 4 weeks, but that hasn't happened! Everything is going pretty well though. I had a few days of nervousness, but everything turned out to be just fine. I started having pain that I never experienced with Everett, but I was just told I was growing. I'm continuing to grow along with this little girl. She is a mover! Todd said I talked about Everett moving all the time, but this one seems to be a lot more active. When I wake up in the middle of the night she's usually moving around. I hope that's not a sign of how she'll be when she's here! It's gotten to were when she moves my stomach moves now. We went to the doctor this past Tuesday and we're measuring right on track.

We keep telling Everett there's a baby in my stomach. So he'll come up and poke my stomach and say baby. Now if he even hears the word baby he looks at my stomach. It's pretty comical. We're trying to get him to understand that he'll have a baby sister, but I'm not sure it's catching on quite yet, but hopefully when she's here it wont be such a shock!

Happy Valentines Day!!

We had a pretty good laid back Valentines. I was surprised early in the morning when I got to work with these:

I love them! And was so surprised. So in the 5 years we've been together I've never once received flowers from Todd. Which isn't huge. I'm not a rose person, but I'd give Todd a hard time about it sometimes. Now I just hope I can keep them alive!

Everett was spoiled by the cupid this year. He got a new book, puzzle, and some new crayons in hope that he doesn't actually eat these ones :)

Todd got the Wii game Wipeout. Him and Everett love watching that show and now they get to play together! Today we were lucky enough to get a nice little box from Grammy and Grandpa. Walking up to a package on your front door is always a nice thing! Everett dug into his gift.

He was so funny. He'd take a bite of one cookie put it back and then get another. It was like he was letting us know those were his!

Books

Everett LOVES books. He likes you to read to him and he likes to read them himself. Well, I guess more flip through the pages. I've kept his books fairly high cause there are some I know he'll ruin that I don't want him to. So most nights we have to keep going in and getting a book down for him. I keep his hard books down for him, but he gets a little tired of the same ones over and over! The other night I can't remember quite what was going on, but I'm pretty sure the same scenario. He wanted Todd to get a book, but it's usually not the right one. At least when I help. The next thing I see is this:

Todd showed him his chair and how he could sit and read in it. Everett has played with that chair, but has never sat it. Don't know why I never thought of it! Well, it was genius. Everett loved it and sat there just going through his books. Now he does it pretty much everyday!

A Day to Play

It's been hard to find a day to play outside around here lately. It's been freezing! So we have been feeling the effects around our place lately. Everett hates been cooped up, never has liked it. And I hate when he gets restless and whiny cause there's nothing else to do around the house or office:) This past Saturday was fairly decent so after trying to get Everett to be a little quiet so Todd could get some work down we decided to just head outside.

Photobucket
He looks so excited huh?!

We didn't get to stay out for too long, but it was nice to get out and enjoy some fresh air. Everett was excited to run even if it was just along the sidewalk.

We are sooooo ready for some warm weather and no more snow on the grass! Everett isn't too fond of the snow:)
