Date with the LIttle Guy

Our move to Texas has been a hard transition for Everett. He has not handled it very well.  As of late he has become very very clingy.  He always has to know where I am. He hates when I give any attention to anyone else. Especially my own mother :).  He'll say something and she'll respond to him and what usually comes out of his mouth is "no I'm talking to my mom".  He wont letting anyone help except me.  It's just been tough.  He's usually a typical 3 year old, but it has seriously intensified!  To the point where i just don't know what to do sometimes.  Thankfully my mom has been there to help.

So I thought we needed some just Everett and Mom time.  We went out and watched my nephew Porter at his swim lessons. Went to lunch at Chickfila.  He had a blast playing and when all the other kids left I even joined him in the play area.  We went and looked at the animals at the pet store, and then we finished with a little grocery shopping.  It was the best he has been in a long time! No tantrum throwing, no screaming, no spitting.  Just our fun little Everett.  HOpefully it was a nice little break for him.

Sibling Love

Everett has always gone and given Jacquelyn hugs. Usually just when we ask him to.  When he does it voluntarily it usually ends up in a choke hold! She starts screaming and moving and he will not let go. "but mom I'm just giving her a hug" is usually the response I get.  As of late things has changed.  She is going up to everyone and giving hugs.  She tries her cousin Jaxson, but now he's the one who screams and pushes her away.  So when I finally caught and good non screaming hug with her brother I of course had to record the moment!  Although I have come to find out that the hugs have to be on her terms.  She still is not fond of him coming up to her.

Warm Texas Weather

Since being back in Texas we have been experiencing some unusual warm winter weather!! But you will not be hearing us complain.  We have been soaking up every minute of it.  Especially when we saw that Idaho is in the negatives.  Oh how I do not miss that!

WE have been playing out in the yard. Once we are out this little girl does not want to go back in! She is constantly wanting to "go"...

 We've been going on walks

And we've been having fun playing out in the backyard  with my mom's little daycare kids.

All Aboard

My parents have found a new hobby.  The Dart.  The Dart is a train that goes all throughout North Texas.  It's suppose to be the "new" thing I believe.  To get people to ride that instead of driving.  Well, my parents use it.  It is sometimes their weekend activity.  So this weekend the kids and I were invited to tag along.  Todd is off to his new job so in the meantime the kids and I are hanging out with my parents!

This afternoon we headed out to the train station.  Everett was so excited.  While we were waiting he kept looking at the tracks, which put me in panic mode.  Luckily Jacquelyn stayed in the stroller so I didn't have to worry about her.  Once we got on he could not contain his excitement! He got to sit next to Grandpa and he had the ride of his life!

New Years 2013/Christmas with the Tucketts

The day after Christmas we made our way down to the Great State of Texas!  We were able to see family and ring in the new year.  We had such a good time, but sadly not many pictures were taken.  Everett was beyond thrilled to be hanging out with his cousins.  Especially his cousin Cassady.  They were complete buddies.  While my brother Scott and his wife Julie stayed with my brother Spencer, Cassady got to stay with us and have sleepovers with Everett.  They were so cute together.

We celebrated our Tuckett Christmas on New Years Eve.  The majority of the day was spent hanging out and enjoying each others company.  Then the true excitement begin. Cousin gift exchange! Everett is excited about opening any and all presents. It has been so fun to watch him this Christmas and get excited about everything.    Later that night we had a delicious Prime Rib dinner and then stayed up playing games until we rang in the New Year.  We have been blessed to spend so much time with family over the holidays.

Like I said, sadly there were not many pictures taken.  I was gone most of the weekend enjoying my friends wedding festivities! I don't think I realized we barely took the camera out until after the fact.  We were able to get some updated family pictures of the whole Tuckett clan.  Thanks to Scotty's self timer skills!  It's fun to see how much everyone has grown since our last pictures.  This was the first with the 3 new 2011 babies!
