Jacquelyn's Birthday Weekend

Todd's parents came in to town to celebrate Jacquelyn's birthday.  We had such a fun time with them.  Lots of playing went on.  For Jacquelyn's birthday she woke up and had a special cinnamon roll breakfast.
That afternoon we met up with Todd and had lunch with him.  Jacquelyn passed out before we even got there and surprisingly slept through most of lunch.  She woke up just in time to have her free birthday pie!
That night we had a spaghetti dinner and ice cream.  We opened her presents and got to skype with Grammy and Grandpa.  Jacquelyn of course loved all her presents, but her brother I think loved them even more!  He did pretty good, but still had a little bit of a hard time realizing that they were Jacquelyn's toys.
Everett picked out her stroller.  That was his gift.  He was so excited and kept talking about it getting a stroller for Jack's birthday.  She loved it!

Before heading off to bed we had some fun playing around while moving air mattress around.  Everett always has to play on the air mattress when we have it up so when we had it in the living room, it was of course going to be jumped on.  He wasn't alone this time, Jacquelyn had to join! It was so fun watching them.  So Todd and I decided to join in on the fun and pop them up high! They were loving it.
Friday, Everett and Jacquelyn were able to spend the morning with Grandma and Grandpa Wilson.  Todd had school and I had to work.  That afternoon we went and got some shopping done and then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  Jacquelyn got a free birthday ice cream! They came and yelled her name and said her age.  It was pretty cute. She just stared at all of them like the were crazy!
They had fun playing in Grandma and Grandpa's truck.

Saturday was Jacquelyn's birthday party.  Her Uncle Troy and Sabdy came up.  Our Great Uncle Claude and Aunt Shirlene, and Todd's cousin Alyssa came over.  We had a little BBQ and some cupcakes.  Jacquelyn devoured it!  When we were singing to her she tried grabbing for the candle so it got burned out quickly.
 Uncle Claude and Aunt Shirlene
She loves playing with her new legos and bus.
To end our fun and exciting weekend the kids were able to watch the tractors as they started cutting down the hay.  They thought it was pretty cool.

1 Year

Our sweet baby girl is a toddler.  I know I've said it all the time with Everett, and now with Jacquelyn, but time has gone by way too fast.  I'm trying to soak up and savor all those sweet moments.  We have been truly blessed to have her as our daughter.  She is one of a kind.  She's fiesty, energetic, cuddly, sweet, beautiful, and so much more.  Jacquelyn has brought so much love and energy to our little family.

She now has 6 teeth. Four on top two on bottom.
She says hi and uses it all the time.
She loves talking on the phone.  Most of the time she'll hold whatever she has in her hand and use it as a phone.
She is slowly starting to walk. She's taking a few steps here and there.
She LOVES to eat.  She is pretty much on solid foods. No more baby food, and she loves it.
She especially loves her ice cream!
She has a special doll she has to sleep and cuddle with. When you go to check on her you can find her rubbing the doll's skirt between her fingers.
She's wearing 6-9 month and 12 month clothes. Just depends on the outfit.
She's in size 2 shoes, but doesn't care to wear them to much.
She is 26 inches long and 17lbs. 15 oz.

Ity Bity Swimming Pool

I have been wanting to get a little kiddie pool for awhile.  I kept going back and forth on either getting a blow up one, or just the plastic ones.  While we were shopping around walmart we stopped in the swimming section for a bit and I just decided to try out a little blow up one.  It was for 1-3 years so I thought at least Everett and Jacquelyn could use it together.  Yeah....

it was tiny, but Everett still played with! (sorry for some of the bad pictures. I'm trying to learn how to use my camera on manual, and I'm not very good at it)
He thought it was pretty cool.  After a little bribing we got Todd to run into town and get a bigger plastic one.  I figured he could play in the bigger one and Jacquelyn could have the tiny one. Well, when Todd got back he was talking about putting Everett in foaties and then taking a picture of him in the tiny pool.  Everett heard the word floatie and had to have his before he got in.  Once we got it blown up he was in,but it was a tad chilly.
So he went back to the tiny pool.  It was pretty comical. He just stood there and then just gradually started sitting down.  Once he sat he thought it was the coolest thing.
So much for the bigger pool! Todd tested the waters and thought it was way too cold so he went and started dumping hot water, from the sink, in there.
Everett thought it was a little bitter, but loved it once Todd tried it out.  He's so funny to watch because he'll just mimic everything you do.  Todd put one foot in, Everett put one in.  Todd got all the way in, Everett got all the way in.  It's pretty cute though.

Jacquelyn came out and tried it, but she did not like it.  I just put here so she could crawl into the tiny pool, but the minute her hand touched the water she started crying and wanted out.  She was more content with crawling around and playing in the sand box.

Everett joined her for a little bit, but his hands kept getting "dirty".  This was him telling me "dirty on me mom".
