Today Todd was mowing the lawn while I was weeding the garden. The kids were enjoying the weather. Everett would run from the front yard to the back, and Jacquelyn just loved sitting on her blanket watching everything. It was pretty warm so we of course had to have a little break And what better to have on a break then Popsicles?!

I Love to See the Temple
Everett knows his temples pretty well. Not which one is which, but if he sees a temple he knows it's a temple. He will usually say it loud and proud too. Last night we decided to take the kids down and walk around the Idaho Falls Temple. We brought dinner and had a little picnic and then went and visited the Vistor's Center. It was a fun little place to walk around. Everett was in awe when he saw the statue of Christ. His eyes just got real big. He was a little scared at first. He didn't want to get too close, but he slowly warmed up to the idea of it.
They had this computer where little kids could play games. Everett was able to color a temple and build a temple. He loved it! All evening he kept saying he "colored temple". I was quite impressed.

After going through the visitor's center, we went and walked around the grounds. It was such a pretty evening.
Everett wanted nothing to do with the waterfalls.
We walked through a little garden section. The flowers were of course beautiful.
Jacquelyn loved it all! She just wanted to get out of the stroller and walk around everywhere.
On the way home we stopped and got some ice cream to finish off our evening. Everett' is our nice and slow eater. He keeps it pretty clean.
Jacquelyn on the other hand....Not so much. She devoured that ice cream cone. Everett still was licking his when hers was gone.

Have Fun
Yesterday morning was not the best of mornings. I was exhausted. Everett went to bed way to late the night before, and woke up way to early. Which meant he tried to act like he wasn't tired all morning, but he was extremely tired. We went garage sale shopping just to get out of the house while Todd was cleaning the offices. When we got back both kids had fallen asleep. Jacquelyn went right back to sleep in her crib, but Everett on the other hand did not. I knew he was tired, but he fought a nap for almost an hour. By that point Todd was home and I was a grouchy mess. I finally had it being in the house so I decided we would get our suits on and get in the pool.
I got the pool ready, while Everett was suppose to get his suit on, but he decided to just come out and play. I wasn't in the mood to change both kids into their swim diapers and suits so I nixed that when Everett didn't do it himself. Besides Jacquelyn usually doesn't get in the pool, and Everett's in it for 2 seconds and usually only gets his legs wet. So what was the point?!
Today was a different day. Everett decided to really swim and have fun in his pool. He was going from the big pool to the little pool, splashing, the full works. He was loving it! Needless to say it brighten both our moods. I was laughing, Everett was laughing. So much better then being stuck inside. We got Jacquelyn in and she loved it too! She usually wants out, but I think the water was a little warmer this time. After I awhile I asked Everett if he was ready to go in and change. His response "No Mom have fun, have fun Mom!" How could I say no to that?
I found out, today, why swim diapers are truly worth it. I was trying to get a good picture of Everett's diaper, but he was literally blowing up.
There's nothing better then enjoying some time out in the sun to brighten your day. Maybe a much needed nap that was luckily finally able to happen after our afternoon of swimming.

Little Moocher
We like to call Jacquelyn our Little Moocher. She loves to eat and if she sees you carrying any sort of food she will make a mad dash to you. When I go to peel bananas she starts kicking with excitement. She isn't too picky about things. She'll at least try most things, and if she doesn't care for it she just spits it out.
This morning Todd was walking into the living room with his bowl of cereal, and of course our Ms. Jacquelyn followed right behind and went right to him when he sat down. She stayed right by his lap the entire time he ate. She'd take a bite and do her thing. Come back and get another bite.
Towards the end she was standing on her tip toes trying to get some more. When the bowl was empty she did not believe Todd and was trying to get the bowl to see it. When he showed her she just looked at him like "how could you have just eaten it all?".

Sanding
Todd took on of our chairs outside to continue sanding it and he of course had a helper. Everett went and put his McQueen gloves on and helped is dad do the hard work.
He thought he was pretty cool and handy. Just like his dad!

Asleep Like a Log
When Everett fell asleep last night we were wondering if it would last, or if he would be up super early. He luckily slept through the night waking up at 6:30, which is the same time he wakes up when he goes to be at 8! He slept 13 hours. Holy Moly I would love that.
Around 9 last night I heard something bang. Everett sometimes hits his head on his headboard so I thought maybe it was that. When I went to check on him I found him like this:
He had turned and put his feet on the wall. Hence the big bang. He was quite comical. He was seriously out!

Peek-A-Boo
Jacquelyn loves playing peek-a-boo. If you even say it she'll put her hands over her eyes. Or if she's holding something she'll cover her face. It is pretty darn cute. Tonight, I was sitting at the computer, when she came up and started hiding behind the chair and then coming out. She would hide, and then slowly peek her head around the chair with this big smile.
I love this picture. Despite the fact that it's blurry. She has the funniest cutest smile. She got her bottom two teeth first. Then two on the top, but on her left side. The two on the right didn't come through till a little late. So when she smiles now it just looks funny. I honestly love it!
