This morning I was informed by my mom that I have not updated recently and she has no nightly reading material! So mom, this update is for you. Love you.
This past week has been busy/tiring. Last week we were busy getting our car fixed. We took it to some guy down in Idaho Falls who has helped us lower our cost a little. Everyone has said our air compressor is going out and needs to be changed. My friend and work recommended me to this guy and he found that it's just the bearing. Granted, the compressor will eventually go out, changing just the bearing will give us another 2 years or so. When Todd and I went to pick up the car Ray showed us the parts that were making the loud noises. The bearing was completely shot. I was thinking about it today and it started making the clunking noise two years ago just before I moved to Colorado. Back then it wasn't as bad, or as loud. So I guess that could explain why it was gone. It had been two years in the making! The new bearing was out a week so we've been driving around with no AC, which is fine, but the car is so quiet. When we got in it the first time we couldn't believe it. Now, as explained by my Uncle Jim, we are driving with a very nice 2-60 AC. 2 windows down at 60 mph. Hopefully by the end of this week, or beginning of next, we'll have everything back to normal with the car.
Saturday Todd and I had the opportunity to go boating. It was Todd's first time on a boat, or even in a lake! I don't think I've gone since I was in high school, so we were excited. Todd's friend, Dave and his wife Shelly, were up visiting family and invited us to join them. We had so much fun. Todd tried wake boarding. He did pretty goo
d for his first time. I tried skiing for the first time. Wasn't as successful as Todd, but ok. Got up once and was so excited and then just flopped. We hung out on the dock a little and then went tubing. I love tubing. I have so much fun trying to hold on while the driver is trying to flip you. Todd didn't enjoy it as much. The weather was great. It kinda of made me want to get a boat some time down the road, but I think I have a lot of convincing to do to get Todd to agree!
This video is of Todd on the tube. It's not the greatest, it got a little bumpy and I couldn't keep control of the camera.

Monday we went and visited my Uncle Claude and Aunt Sherlyne. Claude is one of my Grandpa Tuckett's brothers. It's been fun getting to visit with them and learn more about my dad's side of the family. They always make us some kind of a treat. Thursday Todd got a root beer float and Monday we got cantelope and ice cream!
The rest of our evenings have been spent in front of the TV watching the Olympics. We have probably stayed up way too late some nights watching them, but they've been pretty exciting. Probably like most other people, I am completely amazed with Michael Phelps. I remember watching him in Athens, but that was nothing compared to what he has now accomplished. Todd and I watched all his races and on most of the races we were on the edge of the couch with suspense. Some he had in the bag, but other's were super close. Honestly, I didn't think we would be watching the Olympics the way we have. It's been nice though.
There's a little update. After writing this it doesn't seem as though we were that busy, but seriously we were. At least it felt like it!
