Lynn Scott Tuckett

On August 5 my Uncle Lynn passed away. He was my dad's younger brother. He was such a great guy. He is someone who will be greatly missed. Tonight is his viewing and since I don't get to be there I just wanted to remember him. My mom says that is the best way to show our love and appreciation for him.

Him and my cousin moved from Denver to Coppell, just a block away from my family, when I was 12 or so. One thing I will always remember him for is his laugh. He had such a contagious laugh. I remember one Christmas we all went to go see the movie Patch Adams, he was laughing so hard at points that he got the whole theater to laugh. Christmas' at his house were always quite lively! He was just a fun loving guy.

He loved his wiener dog Snotzel. I remember how we use to go to wiener dog races where Snotz would participate. It was quite humorous. Where ever Uncle Lynn was Snotz was right there beside him.

He loved to help. When I was moving up to Denver he would tell me places I should check out to live. One summer he was up there on a business trip and went around to a bunch of different apartments trying to find me a place in a safe area. After moving there he would help out and bring extra stuff up from home when he would come up on business. One of the last times I remember being with him is the first time Todd got to met him. He had just brought a bunch of stuff up for me and we went to go visit him in his hotel. We had so much fun just visiting and talking with him. After Todd & I got married last year, he continued bringing up things for us. But those visits, even though they were short, were fun just being able to see him and talk with him

My list of memories with Uncle Lynn could go on and on, but I'm so grateful I have them. I'm grateful for the time that I had to know him and grow up with him so close. His laughter and personality will surely be missed.
